 Founded in 2012, kompany is the global RegTech platform for business verification and Business KYC (KYB) for anti-money laundering compliance. Our clients include international financial institutions, payment providers, insurers, Banking-as-a-Service platforms and other regulated companies. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, we also have offices in London, New York and Singapore, and are looking for exceptional new talent to join our growing team in Vienna.

We have a rapidly growing business driven by an industry-beating product, which genuinely addresses customer needs in ways that nobody else can. But we need to do more to build our brand. We are therefore looking for a Media & Communications Manager to promote our company mission and products, and support thought leadership activities across a broad range of key stakeholders.

 

Media and Communications Manager (f/m/x)

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure our kompany thought leadership topics and brand positioning are clearly communicated via appropriate media channels  
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with external partners  
  • Coordinate with external partners, thought leaders, and other third parties to produce high quality content and compelling stories   
  • Interact with internal stakeholders including sales and product teams to create effective communications strategies that articulate kompany products’ core benefits properly and consistently  
  • Serve as the media liaison officerconducting briefings and press conferences  
  • Manage external PR agencies and resources  
  • Manage an ongoing editorial calendar ensuring regular content go-to-market execution  
  • Manage external content providers and copywriters to ensure consistent quality 

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • native German speaker with additional fluency in English  
  • Excellent written and verbal persuasive communication skills  
  • A great content generator, able to create compelling material from multiple sources on an on-going basis  
  • Editorial mindset seeking to understand what audiences consume and how to create it 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities to tight deadlines  
  • Can work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity to tight deadlines  
  • Understanding of how to measure media effectiveness and performance   
  • Able to effectively manage external PR agencies and media partners 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline 
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar communications-focused role 
  • Evidence of being able to get the best out of external PR agencies 
  • Strong network of media relationships and contacts 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of creating content within the financial services (or other regulated) industry, ideally with a strong focus on FinTech or RegTech
